HISTORY
In 1936 Garland Cogdell and Luther Harrell ran their
own welding shop on Gillespie St. until 1942 due to
the draft. In 1945 Luther Harrell started Harrell’s
Radiator Shop after his tour of duty during World War
II. Starting out as just a two man shop we have grown
through the years. In 1978 Charlie Harrell came back
into the family business, incorporated it, and decided
to grow the auto parts distribution piece of the company.
Today, we are in a new state of the art service center
and radiator shop still carrying on the family tradition
with Brandon Harrell coming to work in 2003. Our facility
has state of the art computer diagnostic equipment as
well as a nice waiting room with a television. Also in
the past two years we have added a bus and truck garage
to service the surrounding community. These days we
are more than a radiator shop, our mechanics will do
anything from an oil change to putting a new motor in
your vehicle on anything from a compact car to a tractor
trailer.
