Radiator Flush
Driving creates friction and heat in the engine and needs coolant from the radiator to keep the engine from overheating. The coolant travels from the engine to the radiator, where the radiator fan cools it. Once cooled, the fluid travels to the engine block to repeat the process. Over the years, coolant in your vehcle breaks down, becomes contaminated, and is unable to maintain cooler temperatures or prevent corrosion. Without a clean and functioning radiator, the engine can overheat and require expensive repairs. Maintaining the cooling parts of the engine, such as the radiator, is vital.
Harrell’s Tire & Auto Service expert technicians do more than drain and refill the radiator. After draining the old coolant, our technicians perform a machine-powered flush with cleaning chemicals, sealant, and lubricant to remove contaminants and buildup. Once the radiator is clean, new coolant is added to maintain a cool engine block and prevent expensive repairs.
