Wiper Blade Replacement
Many people do not think about their wiper blades as a part of regular maintenance until they need a replacement at the worst time. Broken wiper blades impair visibility and increase the likelihood of accidents in bad weather. Weather elements and the sun’s UV rays break down the wiper blade’s rubber squeegee over time. To prevent streaking, skipping, and squeaking blades, replace them every six months or as they break down. If you wait until the last minute to replace them, you may find yourself unable to see through the windshield in inclement weather.
To determine if your wiper blades need replacement, inspect them for metal corrosion, broken frame, damaged squeegee, an inflexible squeegee that does not conform to the windshield, and a loose wiper arm or squeegee. Wiper blade replacement is one of the many safety services offered at Harrell’s Auto Service.
